Sweet Lucy's is a convenient stop for us. It is clean, fast, delicious, reasonable and BYOB.

I liked Sweet Lucy's a teensy bit more than Bebe's, which I also love. But until they come back to Headhouse Farmers Market on Sundays, they're quite far out of the way. Bebe's BBQ is right in the Italian Market, and they also deliver!

Bebe's is the only answer to this question--the other places are not NC style. You can ask at Bebe's for a vinegar only sauce (no tomato).

I recently was at Tommy Gunn's (first thing before Main St. Manayunk) and thought it was pretty good. Not a BBQ fiend, nor do I know about NC style, but the place is small and does bbq only. So if you're in the northeast check it out.
